Personally, I like the wood vanity and the green counter. It's okay with the floor and looks awful with the brownish-pinkish-beigish walls. I think if you paint the walls, everything will look much better. I'd vote for a cream.

I was thinking of updating the hardware on the cabinet as well as changing the color. Are you suggesting keeping the cabinet the color it currently is? And what type of counter material would you suggest/and color type?

I second @Sigrid's comment - the problem with this bathroom is the color of the walls. Paint them a color that works with your counter top and you may find you don't need to do much besides possibly updating the hardware

I just want more color though. The colors just feel so blah. Here are two closer pics of the floor.

I love the color on the wall. I would paint the cabinets/mirro black because it looks like the whole bathroom is too tonal or everything matches..almost. I would also spray the hardware silver (to save money). I would then change the 80's bulbs with Edison light bulbs and add a flush-mount light in the middle (vintage style to match the Edison bulbs). It looks like there is some black in the counter top. I would then add black frames with some green (from the counter top or silver) as this would tie the colors together. So the most expensive would be paint and a new light fixture. But see how these cheap fixes work if you are on a budget and then maybe a new countertop. If you had a lot of money I would add a double sink since you have plenty of space, a new countertop, under-mount sinks. Black granite shows water stains so easily but the cabinets look like they already have great storage.
