White or cream will be around for the same length of time - they are almost timeless as well. Backspash, floor, hardware and counters will go out before white or beige cabinets.

Thanks, we did just redo the granite and backsplash. I know it seems crazy to redo the cabinets now but we decided to redo and add more cabinetry to an adjacent laundry room so I thought what the heck! I have white tile backsplash and colonial white granite countertops (has white, tan, and some small black flecks. I have stainless appliances and a white farmhouse sink. I really want a light open and clean feel.

and what does your contractor say about the odds of getting new cabinets under your counters and tiles?

We're just painting the existing cabinets.

I went with white. Originally they were cream but it looked too yellow for me.

With the white sink and backsplash and in the granite, white was the way to go.

I am really leaning that way after looking at more pictures of white versus cream. Thanks so much!
