Instead of replacing that green/gray/blue tile, you could add to it! You could easily add an accent stripe of beautiful tiles above where the existing tile ends around the tub. If you do a mosaic accent, you could then choose one of the colors from the mosaic and use it as your wall color, to make everything work together. Below are some examples of how you can introduce a new color with a mosaic border. Hope this helps you and gives you some ideas!

I would choose the granite for the counter before choosing a paint color. I would not select one with green in it b/c then you will be stuck if you do decide to replace the tile. I would go to more than one granite shop because they usually all have different granites. As Babara Griffith stated, you can ask to see the remnants and usually, the shops will discount those for a small bathroom job. Be sure to take a sample home before you decide because lighting can make them look different than in the store. I also had a sample crumble in my hand one time. If you paint before you choose the granite, you will limit yourself to what you select and there are some amazingly beautiful granites available.

Barbara is so right! The best way to minimize the tile is to paint the walls the same colour, just a shade lighter. All trims should be white. I would recommend lots of fluffy white towels and a white tub mat. If you have a window use a white California Shutter

Choose a lined woven wood Roman shade for this window...outside mount, a tad wider than your trim and hang high above the window so that when they are pulled up the lower edge just covers the top of the window frame..make the window look larger. You can purchase these at Lowe's. They have readymade (probably won't fit, but maybe) take one home just to see the effect.

copper and gold look great with that tealish color and would pop as accents. Using a light beige or off white would allow the eye to be drawn up and lighten the space. And with some nice matching light fixtures you'd be able te get away cheap without spending a ton of money (except on some nice countertops). Additionally, you could use some honey oak accents to make the space warm up a bit without being overpowering.

Wouldn't the off white clash with my white cabinets?

Not if it's just barely off white and a cool off-white no warm colors that would make it feel cramped. So I guess my beige suggestion doesn't fly... ;)
