Persian Palm

My persian palm plant that I've had for 22 years. It's beautiful and healthy as it always has been. This summer I notice that it is producing small red seed type things at the end of a stalk where normally a large leaf would be. Only on one stalk. This has happened twice this summer. The plant still has a lot of large beautiful leaves, but I'm just not sure what the red things mean. can I remove these and plant them? They resemble red corn on the cob....that's the best way I can describe the look. Any tips, advice, or opinions greatly appreciated! Thanks! 2 Pics attached. 1 after I removed it from the plant and took it apart. And 1 from when it was still attached to plant. It starts to die if I leave it attached.

Not sure what a Persian Palm tree is, but it is not a palm. Looks like a Philodendron member.

Its an Alocasia. Probably A.macrorrhiza. And that's the seeds.

The so called "Persian Palm" is far from being a palm it's an Aroid, as has been mentioned. It's a hybrid Alocasia sometimes referred to as Alocasia calidora or Alocasia "Calidora" but the proper name is Alocasia x calidora. Aroids typically produce berries like that (and are mostly inedible).

I can't see much leaf. What I do see is more A. macrorrihiza like. Seeds on the two Alocasia's are identical. I have both. A.calidora is much more of a sun needy plant..they NEED sun outdoors. A.macro-etc, is more shade wanting.

Also, A.calidora leaves are set near vertical,more ribbed.

But, his is indoors..that can change the look of plants adapting.

Persian palm is a name that it goes by also. It's not a palm tree...I never implied that it was. I was simply curious about the seed type things that it's started to produce after more than 20 years & no seeds. I didn't think that using the non-technical name of my plant would be that big of an issue.
