Create Good sinks

last modified: 11 years ago

I don't remember seeing these sinks discussed here before. They popped up in a Houzz search this morning, and I think they look like a great alternative to the Stages or Galley, and priced very competitively to the Stages per their website. The thing that really caught my attention was this clean edge around the drain. Just throwing this out for anyone in the market...

If it is 16 ga and 304 (118/8) or 305 seamless, go for it. Sinks have no moving parts and seldom are a problem as long as the steel is the right composition.

FYI, Elkay calls them the "perfect drain" and sells them at HD and Lowes.

Very nice. We just had our Ruvati single bowl installed and I really like it. It's huge! However, I've never had a single bowl before, and I feel like I'm chasing the bits and pieces around the sink to wash them down. Quite frustrating.

That drain edge is THE BEST! I wish all sinks were like that. Would that be possible?

I love this sink too. Live in Cincinnati and am planning on going to the warehouse to look at single bowl undermount. Would love to hear anyone's experience with the sink.

I know this is a year old thread but wanted to see if there are updates from anyone who has installed a Create Good Sink such as their Ledge model (or any other)? Any feedback so far?

me too...looking at undercount ledge sinks and am tired of reading about the Stages, Prolific and Galley. Love to hear from anyone who has this sink!

Let me add to the chorus of voices asking for real world feedback about these sinks. Does anybody have these? How have they held up? The pros and cons? Thanks in advance.

I have one sitting in my house waiting to be installed in a few weeks! It is one of the things I am most looking forward to. I was very nervous about ordering sight unseen, but it came quickly and just from looking at it it is exactly what I thought I was buying. Will update once we install it and start using it.

Just bought one and in the process of installing. Looks beautiful! Will update after I use.

I am interested in the Elkay perfect drain. With it, you can have the drain on the left, right or the traditional middle. Anyone have the PD?

Update - we have had our create "ledge" sink installed for a little less than a week. So far - I LOVE it. I purchased the cutting board that sits on the ledge and so far have enjoyed being able to cut right at the sink and then swish into the disposal. We have it hooked up to an Insinkerator evolution excel disposal with no problems. I have noticed that the drain is a little smaller than in our previous sink (a Shaws Farmhouse) but that isn't an issue. The only thing I am having trouble with is getting use to the sink grid. I have never used one before - but I feel like the small food bits get stuck underneath and I spend more time than necessary chasing them down the drain. I think long term I will most likely remove the grid - but want to give myself to get used to it.

Mine is just installed too. I do not have a grid. All is beautiful. I love my cutting board too. I wish there was a little more pitch to the side drain. Made in USA, Love it!

Hello All, I am looking at purchasing the Ledge by Create Good Sinks. Would you please give me an update on your sink purchase. I am interested in hearing how the sink is functioning. Thank you.

I’d love an update. How are your sinks holding up?

I’ve had mine almost 2 years, all good!

FWIW (I know this thread is old), we've had our Create Good sink with drainboard but no ledge for over 7 years, and our only complaint is that the flatness of the sink bottom makes it so it doesn't drain very well - I think that's a fairly common issue with stainless steel sinks.

We have the older model (I don't think they had the ledge version at the time) that came with a cutting board notched to sit over the sink, and we love both that and the drainboard. One thing that helped the slow draining issue was enlarging the disposal flange so that the center hole was bigger.

We're considering a Ledge model for a remodel in a different house and would love to hear anyone's comments whether maybe the not draining issue is still a problem

    Hey jbmacc,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our sink. Reviews go a long way and we certainly appreciate your time and effort.

I'm sorry to hear about the experience you've had with the sink. We have since redesigned our sinks, as you've mentioned. The grading and radius have since been adjusted. Additionally, these are parameters we review and calibrate before any product is shipped out to a client.

Please, if you could, email us at john@creategoodsinks.com. I would like to send you a proper thank you for your efforts!

Have had my Create Good sink undermount for 5 years now and absolutely LOVE it. (I had a ledge to a sink in my previous house and felt it was just one more place for debris to collect.) Little snafu at beginning as I wanted drain on right side, but box mismarked, and drain was on the left. Did not know until it was already installed as I never thought to open box to check. However, as with many things in life, the error has worked out fine. We coincidentally live in Cincinnati where the sink is distributed. The black drain "cover" was torn (my mistake) so my husband called to order a new one. Two hours later, there was a knock at our door-the cover was hand delivered at no charge. Unbelievable customer service. I plan to buy this sink for our next home, too! Highly recommend.
