When to plant Sugar Snap in Zone 6?

I have these seeds: Burpee Pea (Sugar Snap) GUIZANTE Sugar Snap. The back of the packet has me in the green zone color which says to sow in Apr-May & Aug.

My area is experiencing higher than normal temperatures recently. The temp most every day this week will be around 90 and the nights will be right around 70. I expect this to change quickly (by the time the pea's will push up through the soil). I never planted peas in the late summer/fall though, so rather than trust the general information on the back of the packet, can anyone here offer a suggestion please? if it helps, it says "70 days to maturity" on the front of the packet.

Thank you!
