Pics attached below. I have random branches on my sugar maple that are loosing their leaves. Looks to be isolated to branches and not areas of the tree. Details about the tree: transplanted from a nursery 4 yrs ago, was 5" diameter. Has grown slowly (as expected) but finally popped this year, has put close to 18" on in some areas. This summer in my area has been extremely wet and the tree is planted in an area that tends to stay moist especially this year. The rain has slowed quite a bit over the last 4 or 5 weeks, high temps and a lot of sun as been the norm recently. Just scorch or something worse? I did have a few branches exhibit the same problem last year but the branches were removed.
