It looks like it is tumbled brick. I'm using this look on my front porch.

When they lay on floor are they whole bricks or just a brick face ?

It depends on the foundation space. In our case we are using full bricks on the front and tumbled pavers on the back porch.

Are they solid brick or with holes? Roughly what are they a square foot?

Old Carolina Brick's thin pavers are all solid. The prices vary from $5-6/sq. ft. plus freight. depending on the thickness needed.

At Inglenook Tile, we create a handmade thin brick tile that will give you a similar look. Our standard thickness is 1/2 inch, and we have various sizes, textures and edges. They are fired to the same temperature as porcelain, and are vitrified -- extremely strong. If you are looking for something specific, I can make new molds for your project -- most of our styles started out that way. inglenooktile.com
