I would place a small round table in the curve of the stairway. Anywhere between 18" to 24" round would work. On this table I would place a large vase that echoes the painting on the wall....... and in this vase I would place a beautiful and tall arrangement of silk flowers or a dried natural arrangement. The table can be dark wood or medium or even painted. The vase and the arrangement should be in your favorite colors that work with your decor.

How big is the curved space and what is hanging on wall? I agree with rd table.

I would also put a large round table in the space and remove the art. I think any picture hung on the curved wall would look awkward. I see you have an outlet there. A pretty lamp..similar to a trophy lamp..would look nice on the table. Keep those two items on a larger scale because of the height of your ceiling in that area. You can then decorate the table with a pretty box or dish..or something whimsical to keep it fun..

Stone veneer on the wall along the staircase and below it and all over the pillar also. Long suspended lights in the ceiling

and glass paint on the big window.

You could also paint the white doors in a dark ebony and keep the frames white.

Move the print on the wall so top is below landing and side is more even with door in that space. If possible hang paper cutout until you get correct position. I think a table and lamp will do better in space and remove clock, it is too small,
