I grew mine from cuttings that I ordered online. Beware! This is a very invasive plant and I am a little sorry I ever put it in my yard. It will take over very fast.

If you are talking about the vinca bedding plant usually sold in six packs at the garden center I have never wintersowed them but the are heavy seeders. I planted some along a walkway years ago and every year I have plants growing from seed. The colors are variations of the originals. I planted some of the new darker blue/purple ones

last year hoping to get a variation of that color but that didn't happen. Still pinks and whites. In spring when the seedlings are popping up I move some to other areas.

If you are talking about vinca minor the viney ground cover, it is as rochesterroseman said a vigorous spreader. I have in in a side yard and have to stay on it to keep it contained. Pretty in spring, though
