Looking for one pillow...

Seriously, I am spending too much time obsessing about one pillow, but might as well involve you all in my obsession.

New living room sofa is coming in a few weeks! It is green leather, which is out of my comfort zone a bit but I am really excited about it. This is the color:

There are three chairs in the room. One is brown leather, one is a narrow red/cream/brown stripe that "reads" as a solid paprika color, and the third is a little corner chair in cream with sort of a polka dot pattern. I don't have pics because I'm on vacation at the moment. (Staying at our beach house, which is kinda vacation, kinda not.)

This is the rug...

And I am getting two of these pillows.

I want at least one more non-matching pillow, in a slightly smaller size (the pillow above is 20", I think). Something a little quirky, with some other colors/pattern. I have a fairly eclectic style and I like the idea of a few mismatched pillows...even though my family will just throw them on the floor when they're sitting on the sofa.

I also have this pillow, which will probably go on the red chair.

Anyone want to throw out some pillow suggestions? I have been looking on etsy, but haven't found anything yet. (The bird pillow above is from etsy.)

Nice choices so far! How about something like this?

Now that I posted it I can see that your pillow is white and this is cream...hmmm. I am drawn to the Kravet prints.

I would just make sure the pattern is a different size from the polka dot chair and that other darling pillow you posted.

I am so excited to see your couch when you get it!

Now, off to weed because, alas, I am not at our beach house-double alas, we don't have one. Ha. Oh well. Maybe someday. I hope you are having a marvelous time that is more vacation than work!

Actually I'm sitting here as the electrician tries to figure out a problem with a switch...so owning two houses isn't always fun!

Here are some others I just found at etsy.

I think the red in the middle two may be the wrong shade of red, and the green in the last pic is too much of a blue-green...the first one is a possibility but I'm not in love with it.

Bonnie, thanks, I will check out your link.

Since you already have a solid pillow and a bold print, I'd go with something that is two-tone in one or the other main color (green or paprika).

Just to be clear, the bird print pillow is not going to be on the sofa, it will be across the room. I want everything to "work" together of course, but the new pillow won't be sitting right next to the bird pillow.

Can you tell I like block print/ethnic fabrics?

I love that bird pillow! Where did you find it? Pottery Barn has a similar one.

I would suggest a different shape along with size. How about a lumbar? There are different sizes. I like the idea of a geo print - I think I would try to find the green color for that pillow.

Looking good! Can't wait to see it all put together.

The bird pillow is from etsy. I think the artist is called Cody and Cooper?

The two last pillows I posted are around lumbar size.

Have you looked at World Market online? There are some pillows that would look great.

Also, I really want your new green sofa. That is one of my favorite colors, favorite sofa styles, and I love that it's not a regular brown sofa. I can't wait to see pics of it :-) It's going to be gorgeous.

    Thanks, jlc.

The only one I really liked at WM was this one...wish it came in a better green color. I think this color would clash with the sofa.

So far I like this combination best...too bad the gray leaves aren't green!

I also love love this pillow, which is smaller than the print pillow above, and even though I know it might be a bit "off" I might get it anyway.

Find a fabric designer (Marimekko, Amy Butler, etc) that you like and search the name plus pillow on Etsy.

Just saw your rug. My first two probably don't work.

Here are a couple that may interest you. Tried staying with the cream, green and burnt red you currently have in the rug and the new sofa

    Another.

I do like the one with the gray leaves. The last one does seem a bit off - maybe too bright, but it is a cool pillow. BTW, I love the solid pillows and the texture. Did you find those on etsy too?

The solid pillow is a new one from Pottery Barn. I usually do like PB pillows, so I hope it's as nice IRL.

Nuts, thanks! I like that last pillow a lot.

    I ordered this one

    and this one

If they don't all work together, I can use the last one elsewhere. It would work well on a chair in my family room, I think.

Thanks, Sueb. We've been on vacation and I must be behind looking thru PB's catalogs. I usually like them too and have several covers I rotate through the seasons.

I really like the pillows you went with. It's going to look very nice.

    Where's your rug from?

The rug is a Nourison Nourmak flat weave rug that we have had forever. We have another one in our family room, and another in the dining room (all different patterns). They wear like iron! We have also found that our oldest dog -- who just passed away -- was allergic to certain wools, but not to these rugs, for some reason. So that's why we have so many.

This is our dining room rug:

Where did you find that gorgeous first burnt-orange pillow? Love it!

    The solid one? Pottery Barn.

All from Pier 1. The one in the bottom right has a striped back with red/orange/olive.

Thanks, Sue! That one is my favorite!

Cawaps, what program did you use to do that? Thanks!

, Oh, thank you for the info. and close up photo. I love all the rugs I've seen from your home.

Sue, I can't wait to see the finished room. The colors are gorgeous together
