Over the weekend I read that back issues of the Bromeliad Society Journal can be found in PDF format at:

free for download (windows: right click/save as; I suggest making a subdirectory for them). Free issues go back quite far (though some years are missing). More recent years require a subscription, but you might find it to be worth it. I'm hoping they'll feature articles about tillandsias in their natural environment, so we can try to mimic that better in our own homes.
