The Lace Leaf Japanese Maple pictured was purchased from the Tatton Flower Show in the UK show a number of years ago and looked like it was wired in a spiral as a young tree.The result of this was the Tree Growing in a Winding Fashion.."As The Twig Is Bent The Tree Is Inclined"

The winding top part approximately 12" appears to have no offshoots growing from it from the branch junction that is hopefully visible from the pictures.All the branches from this Junction are at about the same level.

Would it be better to just leave this as it is as we have grown to love this tree despite the Trees Anatomy being unorthodox ????.The tree still displays very nicely and has a kind of Appeal and Charm
