We just bought an old house (1940) and we are going to need to wait on a major kitchen overhaul. In the meantime, it needs a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Husband doesn't want to paint cabinets or deal with the ugly faux wood laminate counters just yet, so painting the walls is all I am going to take on right now. It's south-facing, small u-shape with a larger eat-in section (that table is gone, by the way). What color paint would work best? What else could I do to spruce it up inexpensively?
