I am in the early stage of planning a kitchen renovation. Looking at off-white cabinetry and mid-tone vinyl plank flooring. Had wanted to do soapstone for countertops but am learning that supply is very iffy in my area, so don't want to be caught in the waiting game for it to arrive. Therefore am rethinking to an engineered stone (quartz). My question is .. I would like to do black or black with minimal light veining, but I am getting warnings about the headaches of keeping the dark, glossy surface streak free. Any thoughts out there on that and/or suggestions for alternate colours. I am not big on busy patterns. Any help would be much appreciated.
