Looks great! So sad I can't even find these kinds of bag babies in NorCal. :c The leaves look a little dehydrated. Have you been soaking the root system almost daily? My own, single vanda really started to look better after I started to!

You might be lucky that you cannot find these babies in Northern California. How is the OP proposing to get the plant through winter?

They are like Phalaenopsis.....Heat Hogs and worse still, need more light.

I also got very lucky at the end of May and early June. We vacation in Surfside Beach, South Carolina and Lowes had vandas in flower. I bought a couple and went to the other 3 Lowes in the beach area and found a few more. Only problem was no tags, but that is now the norm when we purchase orchids unless we are getting them from an orchid show or orchid nursery. I love them just the same.

I bought one similar last fall. I keep in in the basement under a sodium lamp during the winter (a note for Arthur). It can bloom in february too.

The new stem of the cluster of flowers is growing now. Exactly in time with my red one (Vascostylis crown fox red gem ..)

At least you have a name, Vascostylis Crownfox Red Gem. Some are easier than others but many need a climate something likeJamaica Tropical.

I am fiddling with some of the cooler growing smaller types such as Vascostylis Pine Rivers.

Vanda coerulea imparts cool tolerance but of course you need a name to track ancestry.

No! Not wrong at all. It probably is all Vanda but without a tag it is impossible to be certain.
