Tracey, I think it depends on the feel you are going for. I can't tell from the kitchen pics what shape the cabinets are actually in. I don't usually recommend painting cabinets because it's not a job for someone that isn't accustomed to doing so. I wouldn't try to paint over original cabinets myself. White is rarely wrong for kitchen cabinets. As for the doors and trim, much of that depends on what you decide to do in the rest of the room. If you're leaving the paneling, then I wouldn't paint the trim or doors in that room. In the bedroom where there is no paneling on the walls, then I think painting the trim would be fine. Of course these are just my opinions but that's what I would do.
