Sure! The long skinny one looks very old-fashioned and it's got sharp corners and it limits access to the sofa. The round one is more current and gives you a better traffic path around the room. The glass adds some sparkle and it won't look massive in a small space because you can see through it. If you put down a nice area carpet, it won't be hidden either. Probably more reasons but that's all for the moment :)

I am bad at designing things so I don't know which table is better, but will tell you the Lane rectangular coffee table is from the 1960s, is seems so elegant, The corners aren't sharp, but are rounded.

You could get away with the rectangular table if you continued with a retro scheme, but it's still too angular I think. I don't think it goes with that sofa at all.

You Need End Tables as well on either end of the sofa. Just to bring it together more. Maybe table lamps, area rug. Lovely

I like the oblong one, especially if you get an area rug so it's not so "wood on wood." ;)

I would add an area rug and use the round table. Good luck!
