Hi, just found this site, very informative! I,too, have a walkway question. We want to build a brick sidewalk from our backdoor the the porch of our barn which sets 130" away. It sets directly behind our house, but back those 130". There is a backdoor on the house which will be a starting point, but out from that door about 20 feet sets a huge 5 x 4 boulder next to a tree. Then 15" to the right sets another tree. How can I encircle or go around the tree and the boulder and then go between the boulder and the second tree without damaging the tree's roots? I want the rest of the sidewalk to curve or meander the rest of the way. I'm afraid by prepping the ground for the walkway, it will damage the root system of the trees. I am in a dilemma where to start!
