Dover White is a white that has a very slight yellow undertone. We use the old Duron Shell White which you can have mixed at Sherwin Williams (they bought Duron). It is a warm white (no pink or yellow undertones) but looks white as long as it is not up against a stark white.

I like egg shell white in a semi gloss. It looks great and is easier to clean than a matte finish.

We just finishing our oak cabinets and love the look. No sanding required but does require applying wax to bond in paint.
