I have those lilies, I think I know them as "Magic Lilies". I also have some Autumn Crocus that should be coming up soon. One day the foliage suddenly appears and shortly after pretty crocus-like blooms, only larger. The plant stalk is higher than the Spring crocus.

Last week I cut back the spent phlox and there in the middle of the patch was a Redbud tree seedling. It's about a foot high without any strong leader yet. I'm leaning towards letting it grow but we shall see.

Omg could that be any cuter. Scary I'm sure haha but what a cutie.

I'll have to look into redbud trees!

Ahhhhhh. Sweet little thing.

I got the same surprise only I didn't plant the bulbs as this was our first summer in our new home. When the foliage appeared in spring with no blooms I thought they were perhaps alliums or daffodils that needed dividing so I put s stake in the spot to remember to dig and divide in fall. Imagine my surprise when the lilies appeared in August. Especially since I am in zone 5 but all the research I found says they're only hardy to zone 6.

Resurrection lilies are hardy for me in z: 4 as well. The hard part for me is to remember not to plant other plants on top of them after the foliage has died back.
