Here's mine. Earlier this summer before I whacked it. See my thread on pruning to see what it looks like these days. Nearly two years old here. Unfortunately, I was going by trial and error until I found this forum. All adeniums are much healthier now.

It doesn't look unhealthy to me. Hopefully after the whack it will branch nicely for you. Have you raised the caudex at all?

I whacked it a little over a month ago, and repotted simultaneously. It seems to be doing very well so far.

It certainly is looking good Dain. Great work. Do you plan to keep it the way it is or are you planning on grafting it?

This is a seed grown tree [seed from Kukuan (Adeniumcenter)] started in Winter of 2012 (2 1/2yrs). First time to complete bloom this year.

Very nice Rick, how tall is it now?

This one is only 8" -10" at present. Have not done any pruning to this one and it has many lateral branches. Quite like the look and caudex under the soil seems to be growing quite wide. Which is what I am hoping. Kinda like looking at presents under the tree at Christmas. Pulling the soil away to see what is underneath. Crazy, I know.

Nicholas my first batches didn't turn out so well. Killed quite a few and grew some real tall and lanky plants. These are about a year old, sorry for the red lights. I am testing out some LEDs.

First attempts aren't supposed to be perfect Tracy. That's the fun in looking back on them. They do look happy though :)

Tracy, on your 9 month olds, did you prune?

Dain I did not prune any of these. I would say I finally began figuring out that they require more light than standard succulents with this age group.

EDIT: Dain I wanted to mention that there were some taller plants in this 9 month age group batch that I pruned, but they didn't make it.

Not much I know compared to you guys n gals on here but here are a couple of my first ever seed sown adenium here in the UK. Both grown without artificial light, but outside in a mini greenhouse, so very basic no frills growing. I chose these two as they are very compact in growth and one that I cut the tip off is showing very nice uniform branching. These were sown April 24th 2015, so as you see they are small.

Today, just now I put them in the tent under my led so fingers crossed they loom good in the coming months? Time will tell.....

Terrific seedlings Phil! They are compact and getting fat. Now that they are in the nuclear power plant they will be multiplying in size rather quickly. Sinha your seedlings are so dainty and cute. Nicholas this was a great idea for a thread.

Yeah these are the best two I have for their compact growth but the real treat for me is when I get seeds from one of the top sellers I see people mentioning on here, I think the 3 main trusted sellers to buy from are Kesorn (is this Ko), rinoa and adenium center, but please inform if wrong as I will be placing an order when my net connection is back up and running.

This is my interpretation of the market:

Ko is out of Taiwan, he's a breeder specializing in A. obesum hybrid seed. Kesorn is out of Thailand and his specialty appears to be A. arabicum seed. Rinoa's (Taiwan) specialty is grafted trees but she offers seed too. Adeniumcenter is out of Thailand and it looks like he specializes in Adenium and Plumeria breeding. I don't know Rinoa's website but I know she is on eBay as Orient Adenium.

Kesorn is not Ko Chi Lung (Ko). I believe that Martin orders seeds from Kesorn and is happy with.

I have used all of the ones you mentioned other than Kesorn. I see from the Australians, that they are getting remarkable blooms from Ko and Rinoa's seeds. I mention the Australians, as they cannot import plants and so all of the marvelous blooms they show are from their own seed grown trees and own hybridizing over the years. This means alot to myself. We buy seeds knowing that there are low percentages of getting anything similar to parent plants. So I want to have better odds and feel it is possible when I see results from them.

From when I first started growing from seed. There has been so much improvement in positive hybridizing and getting higher percentages. It is tuff buying seeds and there are still alot of sellers out there, mixing in "pinks", just to stretch their seed bank.

Also sprayed the plants I have in the tent this morning with Chempak number 8 feed, so far under the light all looks good, looking forward to seeing them in say 3-4 weeks as I hopefully will see noticeable growth since they went under?

Pagan, remarkable progress of your plant. At first it looked stunted but then it got the point and started growing fast as it was supposed to do from the start. ;-)

Thank you, everyone. Remember to take annual or even biannual mugshots of your plants. I wish I'd remember to take shots of roots whenever I dig them up but it's such a bother. This is supposedly an A. arabicum 'Dwarf Black RCN. It tried to grow like a Christmas tree but I nipped that repeatedly.

I'll check on the seedlings after my coffee, Rick and get a few shots.

I can certainly imagine Pagan getting little packets of seeds under her Adenium Christmas tree.

Nicholas here is one of my chunky butt babies. It is 9 months old. I realize the first pic I posted is a glowing hot mess and you can't see anything. This I just pulled out from under the tubes, it was getting too tall and leaves were beginning to curl and burn.

Very nice seedling, Pagan. The caudex is so wide! Love how the new growth is such a bright shade of green.

Hi guys did anyone have great success of expected flowers from Adenium center?

I have purchased many seeds from Kukuan (Adeniumcenter) since 2009 and as for success for color match. Nothing true expected, but some similarities.

This does not take away from Kukuans quality of seed or business practice. I have always received 80-90% germination from her seeds.

Hi Rick, thanks for the info.There's realo no guarantee with the colors of the flowers but as long as they will come out still special I don't mind, same thing happened to me with Ko,most of them comes out different from what expected but they are all beautiful.
