    Wood species is Hickory, I am not sure on the stain. It may have been a customer mix.

    I have decided on Hickory due the the hardness but I'm weary of the wild look on some hickory floors that I have seen. Does this install appear more consistent in the coloration (light vs. caramel color variation) due to the grade of the wood or more due the darker stain? Thank so much!

    stained hickory tends to have an oak grain look when it gets stained. you may stop by one of our showrooms and see some stained hickory.
