when did you plant it .. is it established ... hire a neighbor kid to water it ...

if you planted in august.. its not surprising ...

but with the sun in decline.. and most importantly.. night temps falling low ... the period of limpness between waterings.. should decline ...

cooler night give a greater recovery time.. to get over ..... and plan for the insult of the day ...

if you held the plant.. until fall for planting.. you may never have seen this ...

the other option.. is how you planted it ... amended the hole.. didnt break off all the potting media... didnt unwind circling roots .... if you added fert to the hole or after ... all other potential variables ...

I planted it a week ago and yes I did cut the roots to make them spread. I did not fertilize it as yet. I suppose you could say its not yet established, but i intend to bring it indoors with a south exposure and then put it outside next warm spring.
