We are having wood floors installed in our home. The wood wil run from the entryway into the living and into the breakfast nook which is all open to each other. The dilema is whether to do the kitchen or not and if we do the kitchen, where does it end? The kitchen is open to the living room and brakfast nook so the floors would be visible from multiple rooms. Our kitchen has a narrow (3-4 ft) opening into the breakfast nook on one end and on the other end is our laundry room seperated by a pocket door which leads to the garage. The pantry is off of the laundry room with a regular door. Would it look funny to stop the wood floor at the breakfast nook/kitchen entrance or should we continue into the kitchen? If we continue into the kitchen then should we do the laundry room and pantry as well for continuity? We leave the pocket door open except for when the washer/dryer is running so my thought is that it would look funny to just stop in that doorway since it is visible 99% of the time. My wife and I are undecided and we need to let the floor store know soon so that they can order in the material.
