The Martini Table cont.

I am not sure who read my post about picking a martini table. I bought the copper. Not sure if you can really see it well. Wanted to. Hear your thoughts.

It was copper or gold brass. Also I just got this navy ottoman (looks purple in the pic). I still need some good throw pillows and I'm uncertain as to what to use on the ottoman.

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Many thanks.

Amy

It all looks very chic to me. And the orange kitty goes with everything -- the perfect accessory.

Very nice. Would you remind me where you found the ottoman? I like it just the way you've got it arranged now, with the tray, books and throw. Kitty obviously approves!

I like it! I love those little tables. They are so useful! Nothing drives me crazier than a seating arrangement with no place to set a drink/object when you're sitting there.

thanks guys! auntjen, I got the ottoman on sale at World Market.

Any suggestions on throw pillows? I have been looking and looking. I can't find anything I love that isn't ridiculously priced!

I think it looks nice. Can you tell me more about the patterned rug?

For pillows I'd pull colors from the rug. Ha, I'm sure that's incredibly helpful. :) I don't think you need many pillow though.

Thanks! I'm not sure why I tend to forget about World Market, but that's where we bought a favorite buffet years ago that is still a part of our décor. I really like your ottoman.

For pillows, do you like kilims? O.co has some that look like they may work for you. These are $70 for two.

Thanks auntjen, that is pretty. I am not sure yet exactly what I want. I am such an online shopper bc I live far from everything. I just need to get off my butt and go look around! ;)

Thanks so much ruth!!! That makes me feel better to hear. I have to decorate very slowly as we just finished building and of course it went way over what we thought. So, I was just told after that martini table I am not allowed to buy one more thing for a while. It kills me bc I really want some throw pillows so much! ;)

You should share a pic of your silver one. I would love to see it. I have a huge crush on those tables!

Can you tell me about the patterned rug?

We really like to rest our feet on our ottoman. If you don't or won't, ignore this; but I'd put the throw on either the arm or back of the sofa. It does look pretty on the ottoman for when company comes.

Thanks everyone! Sheels, I got the rug at esalerugs.com. Is that what you wanted to know?

Love the rug! I am considering getting the martini table in brass and using them as end tables for my sectional. I looked at World Market and didnt see them. Is that where you got it from?

No I got it from West Elm.

So, no Home Goods near you? The toss pillows are reasonable there.. Burlington Coat Factory, too. SteinMart, too.

But, if you wanted to go say the Etsy route and just buy covers which can be very, very affordable, you can go to HG and look at the clearance toss pillows.... it is a great way to get down filled pillow inserts, cheap. Very cheap. Makes no difference if the pillow (cover) itself is ugly.

Maybe it's just me, but I wince at the ridiculously high prices for pillows. I followed a link to Horchow and found these pillows that i loved... and then quickly resolved to forget about them, they were a complementary pair and they cost 125 bucks a piece!

I found the same 2 pillows at BCF for a much more reasonable 24.99 each. They are down filled, just like the ones from Horchow.

They look fabulous with my new furniture.

Thanks enmc. I do have a home goods about 30 mins from me. I have ordered some swatches for throw pillow covers from someone at Etsy. She has very reasonable prices and an awesome selection!

Love the pillows you chose. I bet they look fantastic!

I really, really love your rug. And pretty much your whole house :-) It is all looking really good.

Serena and Lily has some nice pillows on sale right now--

Yes, thank you! It all looks very nice. Love all the colors.

Love your rug. I like custom pillows, either from someone else or sewing them myself! If you can sew at all, pretty easy to do. I do like those Aunt Jenn showed. Love the ottoman, have seen it in the teal color but not the navy. I like what you have on the ottoman now. I see people put plants, flower arrangements, etc. and wonder how does that last? We would use the ottoman and I'm sure a vase of flowers or a plant would end up being knocked off. LOL

Hello again. Would you mind being specific as to which rug it is, please? :)

Thanks Aktillery! My internet was wonky most of the day. I was pretty sure I could find it, but figured while the thread was on the first page I'd ask.

You'll have to post an update how it wears. I'd really like to buy a polyp. rug when I eventually get one so I can use a carpet steamer/cleaner myself. You're LR is one of my new favs.

Thanks Sheels! So far so good with the rug. I also have one of their rugs which is the same kind but a different pattern in a runner in my kitchen which takes a lot of abuse and it still looks brand new thus far. Glad I could help!

Wow!!! Love your martini table! It looks amazing in your gorgeous room. I love all of the wood and molding detail. Your floors are fab too! Thanks so much for sharing. I understand about having to wait to decorate the way you really want to. I probably won't have my house the way I want it for years to come!

Just amazingly beautiful, all of it. I think the copper was the right choice, and I am in love with those martini tables! I think there is one in my future, thanks to you!

Wow, I just love this room ---- and your style!

As an aside: I had a bunch of Kilim pillows and personally don't like their scratchiness, but then I actually cuddle with my pillows :) . Switched to down filled velvet pillows

How does the rug feel? I've never had a polypropylene rug but am looking for a rug in a high traffic area.

Thanks nosoccermom. The rug feels great. I really am happy with it!
