@uscpsycho, I’m currently looking at building a steam room and buying a sauna. Any advice on the steam project? have you had maintenance issues as you expected? Who made the sauna? Thanks for your help!

@adamholz, first advice on steam room - test the water hardness in your area. Second advice on sauna - never build a sauna using the house walls. You need space to avoid condensation.

I am currently researching this as well. What made you decide not to go with the Southwood & build your own?

I didn't get the Southwood due to lack of any kind of user reviews or feedback on the product or the company. It's an expensive investment and there is a lot that can go wrong with something like this. Too much risk.

Thanks. I am not interested in a steam sauna just a infared sauna & shower. Now I am looking at a separate sauna looking at Medical Sauna.
