I would be interested in swapping cuttings, but I am surprised to see that I only have 5 HTs. Only 2 are out of patent. Pink Peace is a baby and I am eagerly awaiting for it to get big enough for me to take cuttings for myself. I don't want to lose her again. The other is Oklahoma and I think you already have it. By the way I am going to try budding soon!

Good for you, I don't think I'm ready to try budding yet. Maybe next year when I've had a little more experience rooting cuttings.

Someone is giving me some root stock, so I'm going to try soon. Yippee! I used to have about 75 - 80% success for cuttings, but stopped for several years. I have just started trying again this summer and have to find my right "process" for me again.

Last February when I pruned I just stuck a bunch of cuttings in soil and surprisingly had about a 50% success rate. This summer blugirl sent me some OGR cuttings and I was about 80% successful and will have several to plant next spring. I want to try my hand at some HTs now though.

I've tried several "processes" and have found some work better on some cuttings while another works better on others. My only concern starting some this late is overwintering them.

I do mine inside using clear cups and Rubbermaid containers. I just have to watch or I get them too wet.
