I thought it was only me who did this stuff...first thing in the morning and then ten times a day (if I am home).Even a new leaf gives me tremendous joy! A flower makes my week! Oh but they're really sloooo...w to grow and rear ! Phil Whiteley ..I totally empathise with you!...these plants are designed to teach us patience....

Patience my UK Adenium friend, patience. ;-) Where would the fun be, If everyone could grow a nice specimen in a few months? Rome wasn't built in a day - neither are the spectacular Thai Adenium specimen! ;-) IMHO, the fun thing about being an amateur plant collector is to raise and grow the plants from seeds yourself. I used to buy a lot of mature succulents and caudiciforms but somehow I got tired of it. You don't "bond with" those plants like you do with your own "offspring", simply because you haven't watched them grow during the years. Who said "nerd"? ;-)

By the way, I think they grow faster in sea climes I think going by the growth of specimens with the forum members here compared to those living in other climates

Btw, adeniums actually grow pretty fast compared to other succulents.

Patience is not my best feature, shrug. Accept it. It's better than too much patience! Patient people drive me nuts!!

I feel your pain. I check mine everyday, well every few hours when I'm home. It's so bad that I even notice the difference in leaf tilt from morning to evening as the sun passes over.

I feel it's best not to resist the urge. Keeping all that anxiety suppressed with willpower can't be good for you. Much better if you just give in to the inevitable.
