I wouldn't want to add ajything that would compete with the gorgeous quilt. Looks like navy may be the prediminant color aside from white, hard to tell in the photo. I would probanly go with simple panel curtains in either white or navy, depending on whether you'd like the room a bit brighter or darker.

The quilt is mostly white with brown. The rest are every color. I was thinking of curtains like that link. I ordered a few swatches of colorful prints to see if that works too. Do you think I should go long or short with the curtains?

It will be tricky with the corner window, the one that butts into the wall and the one in the alcove having no wall around it. Basically, your curtains on two of the three windows will be forced to cover too much of the window. I'd suggest you try fabric roman shades instead. If you made the quilt you can make the shades too. I hear they're pretty simple.I think I'd match the fabric to the color of the quilt background or do them in the black of the pattern, which would be quite striking and could lend itself well to blackout shades. When up they'd look like a simple valance.

Regardless of the fabric you end up choosing, my recommendation would be to go long with your curtains, not short. Very much like the photo-shopped recommendation that was posted above, it would be best to hand the top approximately 2-3 inches below the ceiling (or crown molding if you have it...can't remember or see it right now) and hang all the way to the floor. That will visually maximize the height in your room.

I do agree with the other suggestion that roman shades might be a beautiful option in this room as well given the window configurations you're dealing with.

I would use the color of your bedskirt for window treatments. I also agree that you really don't have any where to hang panels. Some panels on left, some on right will look crazy. Roman shades seem to be the solution but you would need to remove the blinds

I would use a black wrought iron rod. You can purchase them with 90° swivel sockets. I would use side panels made of a sheer material to give you a relaxed and welcoming feel.

Go solid color from the quilt. I also like the above.
