My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    this was purchased at a store on 4th Avenue in Vancouver called Perfolium. The store has since closed, and has relocated to Montreal, so you might get lucky and find them there

    In the Mayne Island Retreat there were two brick shaped blocks of wood on the coffee table. I have one I inherited. It looks really old. Do you know what they were originally made for?

    I believe they were molds for casting metal parts. They were packed with sand and molasses to make a negative over which molten metal was poured. These molds are stunning and were hand carved by Italian wood craftsmen a long time ago.

    These are vintage, and we lucked into a set of 6. You might be able to find something similar. Try doing a google image search for vintage metal bar stools, and see if you can locate something similar.
