I'd hazard a guess that those railings on the balconies aren't up to code.

That the two trees alongside the landscape block steps are planted too close

to these component steps. That as the roots grow as the trees mature they can

lift the steps out of place. On the slope they will be fighting each other for water

and nutrients. On a hill, the only place to get extra moisture is under the steps.

The photos are too close to get an overall view of how this house is seen from

the passersby/street.

I wouldn't even do more than put out potted flowers until you're settled in and

know more about the climate, sunpaths, prevailing winds and drainage.

Take a walk around your new neighborhood and see how others have landscaped.

Meet and chat with your neighbors and get their opinions and advice. You need to learn

your land before you begin disrupting it with landscape materials and hardscapes.
