I saw the ones labeled purple and got one too but no inflo yet. We will see what ends up blooming. Do share pictures when yours blooms

I will definitely share when it blooms. It looks like this right now, so hopefully we will still have enough heat to get some color out of the blooms!

I've been wondering what exactly causes a flower to express more color. If it's just heat, I'm tempted to blast hot air from a heat gun at one of my inflows and stems for a couple seconds as an experiment. Haha.

Vigoro "purple" first bloom ...

It's kind of a delicate port-wine color (it's not quite as saturated as it is in this photo) ... might fade more to lavender as it gets older. Still, it's closer to purple than I thought it would be! This initial bloom is pretty small, and has a candy/bubblegum fragrance, although not a strong one. I'll wait until the rest of the inflo opens, and then post another picture.

Final picture - the blooms fade to lavender, then to beige:

Final verdict? Yes, it's close enough to "purple" to be called purple instead of red. On the color wheel, I'd say it's close to red-violet.

very pretty I like it, so many different transition colors, I just bought a RED Vigoro today, we'll see what kind of red it is when it blooms someday.

It's more than just heat, keilann. It's WHEN the heat occurs (in the bud stage), humidity and type of fertilizer.

I love the different shades I"m impressed, I just bought a Bi-Color at Home Depot today with an Inflow, we'll see what it does.
