ending subway tile

We have narrowed our decision down for our backslash and picked a 2x4 bisquit colored ceramic subway tile for our kitchen. However hubby and I both hate using bullnose to end it, and can't find any other options with ceramic. Can anyone think of anything else. I've seen photos where it just ends with no bullnose or j strip but our tile has no color on the end, where these certain tiles did. Are we missing something?? Please help

This is what we like below

This is the side of our tile. ..unfinished

I did the schluter edge for my subway tile. It looks really clean and nice. Also not a fan of bullnose.

We also have the metal edge.

    Me too!

Kelly if I recall correctly, those schluter edges come in a variety of different colors, not just silver. You could possibly find one that matches your tile color.

    Hijack for a moment, sorry!

dcward, things are looking pretty finished there! Did I miss a reveal?!...

nancyjwb...no, you didn't miss it. I haven't done an official reveal yet. I should be embarrassed to admit but the light rails that you DO NOT see in this pic are still not up yet. I have been waiting for over a year for DH to get around to it. I know it will take us like an hour to do it...but he's all involved in rebuilding a camper/trailer with his buddy so...well you can imagine what takes priority in his mind!!! I made him promise me to give me a couple hours tomorrow morning and that is on my list!!! If he keeps his promise, maybe a reveal next week!!!

Our best option looks to be the Schulter edge however we want to keep away from using silver. If we had stainless steel appliances I think it would work however we have black appliances and oil rubbed bronze faucet, brown sink, and espresso cabinets. I can't find anywhere someone used a Schulter edge that's not silver. Does anyone have a link for Schulter edge in different finishes. I also found a forum where someone said their option was a plastic trim but they never shared what it looked like. Love all your back splashes shared

Dcward89, don't you think a bronze edge with bisquet colored tile will be a distraction since it will be a dark edge and the tile is so light ? I can't find a photo where someone used that to reference

Check with a local tile store on color options for the Schulter edge.

I was only providing a link to the Schluter edge in different finishes. If you scroll down a bit on the page it shows several different finishes including one called "Sand Pebble" which may be a biscuit like color. I wasn't suggesting you use the bronze color.
