Thank you Eva. Yes, the 2 drawers are workable drawers. If you plan to have a gas cooktop, the right drawer is a little shorter to compensate for the gas line. Good luck! Also, these drawers are tongue and groove for durability, beside looks.

Eva, The island cabinet is 27" D and the quartz is one piece.
