Growing in raised beds...

last modified: 11 years ago

I learned this year that my new raised beds was not my golden ticket to awesome tomatoes. Don't get me wrong...I had some pretty good maters from the bed. However, I did not see a huge quality/quantity difference over my container maters (they do pretty well). It did seem like my maters in the bed pooped out a little early. So, where does that leave me this off-season??? Do I continue to enrich my bed with compost? What is a good approach? Any advice from experienced raised bed growers is appreciated.
