I've just bought City of Haarlem, L'Innocence, Delft Blue and Pink Pearl. Glasses are really easy and the bulbs can be planted in the garden afterwards.

Well then, they are probably 'prepared'. It usually says so on the shelf if buying loose or on the packaging if wrapped. I keep mine in the shed in complete darkness. Have you got somewhere with conditions like that? It's important to get good root growth before the leaves start showing.
