Mexico is all about color! With your floor I would pick your second rug as the colors will blend and not be jarring. It also works better with your backsplash.

I'm sorry, I guess I misunderstood. What is the picture with all the blue in it? I thought that was a rug choice.

Well anyway the rug you posted is perfect!

The curtains seem to nicely with the kitchen back splash, but the rug doesn't seem to go with those 2 items.

You should be able to easily find a plain blue or sea colored rug from as internet site store that will do the shipping for you. Be sure the size will fit your room. You will want the front feet of sofas & chairs to be firmly planted about 1 -1/2 feet into the rug with about 2-3 feet wider than the sofa.

Use blue painters tape to place on the saltillo (beautiful, BTW) tile floor so you will be getting the correct size. Are the drapes already made? If not, & you have to sew them, notice that there is a very large pattern repeat & an up & down of the fabric. Enjoy your lovely colorful space.

Sorry, I just re read your post & the drapes are already made, good. I do hope you can either return the rug you already bought or you can use it in another room, such as a bedroom.,

LOVE the bird fabric.

Yes, that is gorgeous fabric! Too bad you can't get more. :(

looks like it picks up the blue nicely.

Your fabric is fabulous! The rug picks up the colors nicely and gives some movement but the tone on tone keeps it from being too busy. Good choice!

Bold navy and white, or cobalt and white chevron rug. You want it hip and cool. Be careful or creating Epcot Mexico by going too vernacular.

Keep us posted and have a safe trip.
