African Violet cross pollinated with orchid?

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and to orchids! I have two african violets and two orchids that sit together in my kitchen window and I just noticed a new flower blossom in one of the african violets that appears to be almost an orchid blossom? I'm including pictures of both plants and I'm just wondering if anyone has any input on this. Is it possible for orchids and african violets to cross pollinate and if so, what does this mean for the african violet?

    It's just natural variation in your African Violet blossoms.

    Cross-pollination would have its result result in seeds, which would have to be planted and grown to express the crossed characteristics.
