Need help reworking our family room

My wife and I want to rearrange the family room to get more space and let the room flow a little better. We want to relocate tuw couch to where our TV is and remove the cabinets. Where can the TV go is the couch takes its place?Other Ideas are also appreciated. =D Thank you!

Did you want to be able to see the TV from the kitchen area? I would suggest drawing a floorplan on graph paper or using an app on the computer to lay out various scenarios. It looks to me that the wall where TV is may be the best location for it. You could take down the cabinet and do a flat wall like the one below instead. Try couch under window and chairs centered in middle of room facing TV. I would open the double doors - room looks uncomfortable with them closed.

Those doors lead to a foyer at the front of the house. Behind the couchbis an open are leading ibto the kitchen and the breakfast nook. I will try to get another angle of that later.

That looks nice. Thank you for the suggestion. I agree about the doors. We have a different dilemma about what to do about them. We were thinking about sliding doors there.

We would like to see the TV from the Kitchen but it wouldn't be required. You are correct though about the current TV location being the best location for it though.

I have been trying to find the 'right' rug (size and color) for our living/dining/family room combo. It is approx 14ft wide x approx 23 in length. Any ideas? The size is what I am more concerned with.

I would remove those doors. Move the TV to the wall to the left of the doors and place the couch in front of windows. Then without the doors the 2 chairs with a table between them could go on the wall where TV is now.
