My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Chris, this is an Oriented Strand Board (OSB) floor. We use 1-1/8" thick product so there is no need for an additional layer of subfloor. The raw surface is then sanded and finished with a polyurethane product like any traditional wood floor. Thanks for asking!

      I can't tell from the pic. what size were the planks cut to or was it the full board? Looks great!

      We used full jumbo panels (8'x24'). The house is 24' wide, so they span the whole width and have only 4 seams across the length.

      Was the floor protected in some way during construction or was sanding all that was needed to renew it before applying poly? Also, were nail holes filled in prior to poly? Looks awesome!
