I would just call it "Lovely"! Many houses today do not have a " style". They are built for function for today's families. As long as a house has good flow, well thought out rooms, plenty of natural light, curb appeal, etc. then it should be a good " style".

When looking at some homes it makes you wonder what the designer/builder was thinking. Some of them are so very awkward in appearance that you cannot imagine that anyone would ever buy them.

Shivece..The interior has real hardwood floors, a few columns, open floor plan with great flow, high ceilings, dry stack stone fireplace, cream antiqued kitchen cabinets, granite countertops. The house has been extensively remodel since I purchase it a few yrs ago. I favor the natural serene colors...nothing bright & flashy. I like grays, ivorys, whites and browns. Although the master suite is gray, black & white...its stunning. My taste is generally Potterybarn, Arhause & Restoration Harware style along with a few antique pieces. My current project is the front exterior. I love the look of the new elements found in the most recent homes with incorporating stone & wood. I have considered adding stone around the large window on left & the small section to the far right where the last window near garage door. But before tackling that I still cant seem to settle on the front door & shutter colors/design. I posted an ad last week on the front door & finished painting it last nite...black with sidelights in white but I just dont think it works with house. brown door was before & black door is after.i really wish I could get the look of a stained door since this door cant be stained.

any suggestions?
