Are you refering to pulls that would be intalled on sliding bypass doors? Can you post a picture?

Thank you. I was referring to kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. I think they would look better routed in. It is a difficult process to make the cuts?

Build a router jig and set the thing up on scrap lumber first. Score the cut before routing with a razor knife to avoid blowout and do multiple tests to make sure you are doing it right. Quintuple check locations! Nothing wrong with measuring five times and cutting once!

Thanks. Generally one would mortise in a pull if it would bind onto the adjacent door or a face frame. Ironwood is correct. Iregardless the looks are far superior mortised in. Is it difficult, not for a trained cabinet maker or carpenter.
