Oooh, I would love to have a nice library! I'm sure it would become my favorite room!

Our family room. We spend a lot of time in there and it's surrounded by all

the things we love. We are currently in the process of re-decorating it a bit.

We made a new wall unit for a new large screen TV. We ordered a new

leather sofa. We found a lovely rug which has given me much inspiration.

I'm shopping for new throw pillows...I usually make all our pillows, but

decited to shop for them in solid colors of blue, brown, and reddish orange

which is the colors in the new rug.

I am currently working on a design for a end table that is going to double

as a charging station for our I-pad's, kindles, phones etc...I'm excited

by this concept, as I never saw anything like it on the market.

I don't have a favorite...I like all of them...if I didn't like them, I'd change them. Funny though as my family room (great room) is where I spend the most time as it's the most functional. From a looks POV, it's probably my least favorite because there is so much going on in it (kitchen, breakfast nook, family room, wood stove, desk area, bar area) which is why it's so functional (and warmest in the winter). I have a library that is also our formal living room, but we don't spend a lot of time there...I think the cats use it more than we do. I also love my chair and ottoman in the nook in my bedroom and do like to spend time there. Our guest room is the nicest bedroom in the house, but we don't ever use it for ourselves, but the plants really like it.

My son's bedroom. I took a risk and painted it SW Naval and it came out great and he loves it. It's really the only room that's close to done in my house, though.

Living room. It's where we spend the most time, and it's open to other rooms, so I can enjoy most of the house. The furniture is comfortable, and I love just relaxing on the couch while my husband plays guitar, we watch movies, talk while one of us is cooking, read in front of the fireplace, even eat in there often while watching our favorite shows. Even though it's open, it's not a huge room, and feels cozy to me. The walls in the open areas are cream colored with dark taupe trim and molding.

Our guest room is a close second. I've slept in there many times (hello, snoring husband!), and it's just very comfortable and super cozy. No TV, very quiet part of the house, and I sleep so well in there. Something about a smaller room, smaller bed, just appeals to me. The walls are dark gold, and the furniture is soft rustic Mexican pine ... it gets the best morning light, which I love waking up to.

My Living Room. It's a sanctuary. No TV, and everything that is in it represents something I love. Colors are soft and soothing. The furniture is also "nice" and I feel elegant just sitting there.

My winter living room, ever since I stripped the fireplace and painted the walls BM Lenox Tan, great with the White Dove trim on the windows, doors, and moulding. It has a low pine ceiling with beams and a three-panel window which looks out on trees and my field and where I feed birds in the wintertime. It is warm and cozy, mood lighting, and I am always content and comfortable in there.

My small sunroom/ playroom. It is bright, cheery and yet cozy. I have somewhat formal furnishings but it is generally used as a play space for Lincoln logs, puzzles and little people setups. It is a muddy turquoise color.

aktillery, do you ever visit resorts, and if so - WHY on earth? You have paradise right in your own backyard! Gorgeous. Just gorgeous!

It would have to be our living room. Why? Because, I designed and decorated it myself with the sole purpose of making it a warm, welcoming, beautiful retreat for us. I didn't really care what anyone else thought of it. The wall color is a warm cream. There are windows on three sides with a beautiful view of the mountains or the valley out of each. There is a fireplace which is so cozy to sit by during our cold months. During the warm months, I keep a big, rustic, footed glass container of tiny white tree lights in the fireplace, that gives off a soft, warm glow without the heat. The sofas are very comfy to curl up on and read in there, but good looking enough to make this a great room for entertaining. It's a very serene and comfortable room for us both. No tv, but built-in speakers for listening to our music. Some of our favorite art is displayed in there. And there's our beautiful Syrian game table in the corner, where we love to sit on weekend evenings, playing gin rummy or backgammon.

We've only been in our house a little over a month, so I really can't say which room is my favorite. It is a true delight to wake up in the morning and get ready for work in a nice, new, big bathroom though. (Well, big to ME anyway!) I travel for work and stay in some pretty nice places and always enjoy the luxury of a resort bathroom, but now I feel like I have that at home. Enjoying that room is just a lovely way to start my day.

My bedroom. It might not be grand, but it has everything I need. Bed, bathroom, sitting area, fireplace, coffee maker, patio. The walls are a bright silvery grey.

Linen's bedroom is pretty darn nice too.

I would have to choose the greatroom, especially in the evening. With a couple of lamps on, it gives off such a nice glow, and closing the plantation shutters adds a cozyness, even though the room is two stories. A fire in the fireplace, a throw, and a book(or my tablet)and I can cozy up for hours.....or fall asleep!

Probably my dining room. The walls are off white, FnB Pointing, but two of the walls are floor to ceiling muntined windows overlooking our stone patios and pond. The floors are slate, there is an old timbered corner fpl and the only paint color is the window muntins, which are Hampshire Grey (sort of an olive color). I also love how much we use the room!

Gosh, that's a tough one. I like them all for different reasons. When I want to get online, it's the ladies parlor where my desk is and when hubby is home it would be the gentleman's parlor were we snuggle in the double recliner and catch up on episodes of Dr Who that missed when we changed to cable and they didn't offer the channel. We recently left cable and loving it. When I'm tired it's the master bedroom where my comfy bed is. I could go on, but I think you get the point.

Screen porch, which I miss a lot during the long New England winters!

I love our home and all the rooms are my favorite. When we bought it, we spent the first several years redoing most of the house ourselves. It looks exactly the way we wanted it to (except the living room which isn't done yet). I love that every where I look is a memory of us working on it together.

Most of the rooms are done in a mix of greens, yellows, blues which has always been my favorite color combination.

I like whichever room I have most recently updated. I just painted our guest room SW Indigo Batik. I find myself standing in the doorway admiring the beautiful dark blue. If I had to pick any room in the house where we regularly sit (spring-early fall), it would be our three season porch, though. So nice to sit out there any time during the day or evening…. In the fall-winter, the LR because I love the fireplace!

Depends on the time of day....in the morning, our bedroom is glorious. Our room faces east, and the sun literally floods in the four big windows on the east wall. The ceilings are 19', with beams. I often will sit in there in the morning on the chaise lounge with my laptop. I just love it, the sunshine makes me happy. :) The rest of the day, probably the family room, but at night with the chandelier and candles...definitely the dining room.

Depends on the season for me. Spring and fall, the porches and patio are where I want to be, enjoying the weather and the constantly changing countryside. My winter perch is a toss up between our three fireplaces. If I am in front of one in the library, living room or lower level I'm happy. In summer I spend a lot of time in our bedroom. It's light and bright and for some reason is always cooler than the rest of the house.

Mine is our hearth room, sort of an alcove off of the kitchen with an end wall full of windows. Our main floor is one big square open space with the kitchen in the middle. No walls. This corner area is my refuge from the openness. There's a built-in TV and shelves, a gas fireplace, and an upholstered sofa and chair. It's also where we have family mementos and trinkets that came from our parents' homes.

Living room at our cottage, for the windows and treehouse feel. Master bathroom in my house, love the open glass shower, ipe floors, walnut counter, plants. Vaguely tropical feel I guess.
