To recap...Can you suggest how many more weeks it will take to get this bud to bloom?

The season is over here. I have to bring the plumerias in on Sunday. Has anyone heard of that causing a bud to die or blast?

If you bring it in a night and out on warm days it should bloom very soon. Just keep it away from cold nights right now. Temps over 60 degrees will still cause blooms but cool nights will often shut down blooming. So. bring it inside at night so it stays warm. It needs light to bloom so leaving it inside totally may shut it off. With only one plant you should be able to move it.

Thanks, tdogdad. I'm not sure what constitutes "warm" days. 60's alight? I'll happily move it if I can finally smell a plumeria!!!

60 is fine. Just bring into the sun and keep inside if cold and during the night.

I lost 4 leaves on different plumerias last night at 55 degrees. Brought everyone in just now. Thanks for your help. I'll keep you posted on if/when it blooms.

You only have to bring in the ones with inflos. The others will just go dormant in the cool. as long as it does not get into the 30s they can handle cold.

I'm keeping them growing under lights all winter so hopefully I will get blooms next Summer. Our summers are 3 months which is not enough to go from dormant to blooming.
