That's right Martin they are indeed in the tent under the LED albeit around the edge of it so not to give them the full blast of the light too quickly, so the next few days I will keep an eye on them to see how they cope.

Lime variegated, yup that's right lol, maybe they will be normal variegated, normal nothing or some crazy bright lime fizzy green colour with variegation to boot ;) who knows, but it will be fun to find out what comes of them given time and tlc in their private sun room they are growing in :)

Well as a 40th birthday treat to myself I thought sod it lets do this - and sowed 5 thai soco golden bell, arabicum dwarf black RCN and arabicum RCN - OOOSSSHHHH!! :-()

Hey thanks trace - I spent the bit of birthday cash I got on wild birdseed, fatballs, dried mealworms etc etc to keep the local wildlife sweet lol:)

Germination wise - 11 out of 12 double variegated double lime leaves have sprouted - now when they germinate with their helmets still attatched is it a sign that the soil is too dry/wet or does it just happen - also are you supposed to leave them to come off on their own or gently help them off.....which I did with the few that were still on?

Nice one trace, yeah I mist the pots every other day or so to keep them ticking over, and it was just 3/4 from the 11 that sprouted that still had a helmet on so not too bad.

Like the coral edge too, nice clump forming there, thanks for sharing lol, mine are still outdoors and need to bring them in this week really of the temps start to tumble, cant put them in the grow tent around the edge in dappled light as it's full now I have the extra seed pots in there too until I buy myself a small shelf thingy and another led.....

The variegated double lime seeds differ in colour too, some more green and some more pale greeny yellow, will get another pic or two up in a day or two but interested to see what they grow into in the coming months.

Yes Tracy. Each pitcher was about 10 to 11 inches long and that one plant had about 6 of them. They were selling it for 55 dollars.

Couple of rubbish pics I know but can you see the colour difference in them? Wonder if the pale ones are destined to die from lack of chlorophyll or wether it's a trait of the variety? Who knows, I know I don't lol?

Also forgot to say they are approx. 14-15inch away from the LED light in the tent and not directly under it but more around the edge so not to blast them too much too soon - and at present I don't think they look to be stretching out - do you?

Didn't know it took two years lol blimey looking at other threads recently and the size of some Thai growers get after a year or less is crazy, even after two years I wouldn't be able to grow mine sooooo big sadly lol

Pagan I played Pong as well. Had a game console for the TV and this was all it could do. black and white too.

Phil your seedlings are going to do great under your Mars. We can't compare our growth with those in the tropical climate. It is like comparing apples to oranges. I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised in a month when you realize how fast your plants are growing now.

Phil so far I have 7 out of 10 of the lime seedlings germinate. It will be fun to compare them since they are most likely from the same seed batch.

Oh yeah my new double light has landed, well not quite, due to be delivered today but was out working all day, tried getting them to deliver to wife's work, no joy, fingers crossed I get it tomorrow :)

Mine is scheduled for delivery on Monday but of course I will be at work and it requires a signature. I am still on the fence about the tent. Found one a bit smaller I like by Mars-Hydro.

Your tent is a Mars, correct?

BTW, looks like Mars updated their site today which is great. I had some trouble with their old site on multiple occasions.

Hi trace- yeah I have the Mars tent, albeit a smaller one compared to yours. I only use 2 mats to heat it and it's all good and when I put a shelf in there and put the small light to the top with the double underneath for the bottom area I won't be adding anymore heatmats for the top as I think all will be fine without anymore :)
