It's permanently etched. There is no cure other than replacement with a less delicate surface.

I recently bought a beautiful marble dining table. I noticed a few small hair line scratches a few week later. I sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper. I then tried this granite polisher by CPR (I purchased at home goods). It then turned my beautiful top to an ugly grayish dull color. I was not happy at this point. I then started to use all types

of wax products. None of that seemed to work either. I then read that a car wax should do the trick. I tried this stuff called Ice clay wax and regular turtle wax both by turtle wax. You also will need a small power hand buffer. You use only the yellow foam applicator. I bought it at walmart in the auto department. Apply a generous amount of turtle wax on the stone and the liquid wax on the foam applicator (just put a large amount in your palm and distribute all over the pad. Be very careful and don't apply any pressure (let the buffer do it's job to prevent indenting circles in your stone). Just go across the grain back and forth ,then up and down with little pressure just enough to hold on tightly to the buffer. I was impressed at how the rich shine came right back, no haze. Wipe with a clean dry buffing towel, also sold in the auto department(usually blue and yellow) I like the soft blue one's. Good luck!!
