When to prune ?

I posted a few of my plants that got frost damage and I wanted to know what season is good to prune or does it matter ? All of my plants will be in a green house soon.

This plant is very special it's 9 years old and not trained to be a bonsai. It's naturally dwarfed and has good branches.

Here is a picture of it in bloom

Here it is now , one main branch died back and there are still some dead branches that need to be cut.
