Hi Kathy and Annette,glad to se you both here again.I drop in every so often ,as Annette said it's slowed down a lot here.I'm still on the cactus and succulent forum,that's picking back up,thank goodness,as i miss all the post i used to visit as GW.

What is the forum at Facebook where everyone hangs out,i'm on there but don't get around much over there,mostly just the cross stitch forums and family & friends.

My gardens this year are nothing like those in the past due to this drought,and heat.Hopefully we get a lot of rain this winter,if winter ever gets here.Looks like fall is passing us by and we'll just have heat,heat and more heat,with high humidity.I'm so sick of it,can't wait to be cool again.

I don't do much any more. I am in contact with Annie via email and FB.

Kloma, I've slowed down a lot too, can't do all I used to do but will keep plugging along as long as I'm able. Just getting out in the garden gives me a new lease on life and before you know it I'm right back in the thick of things, adding, subtracting and playing musical chair with the plants LOL.

We just had a new water line put in which entailed digging up a daylily border. Now I have all these daylilies sitting in limbo on a tarp in the lath house. Decisions, decisions, decisions, should I put them back or....maybe grow something new there :).

We're putting more shrubs in, I'm really taken with some of the new hydrangeas so have several still sitting in pots waiting for me to make up my mind where I want to plant them.

After the summer we just had the fuchsia baskets have to go, it was a real pain keeping them looking nice and at this stage of the game I don't need all the extra work, not saying I won't have a few flower baskets tho....

Say hi to Annie for me the next time you are 'talking' to her and please take good care of yourself.

Kathi, there is no specific forum on FB. Annie and I just "friended" each other. On FB I am Kathryn Louise Maston Cooper. The reason for that is some people know me as Louise.

We can do something in the garden almost all year here. Not that I do, but at least I can get out side should I want.

My little dog thinks she is to guard us from the squirrels. This morning I was drinking my coffee on the deck. I saw a squirrel peek over the edge of the roof to see if she was on the deck. The roof of the deck is metal, so she knows when they run across and she meets them at the crape myrtle.

Oh Kathy - that is funny!! We have a chihuahua that thinks she rules the neighbourhood. And don't let her know there are squirrels in the yard - please!! lol.
