Have older system in vacation house in FL. I am here now because of bathroom remodel... The pump for the pool has refused to start on its own when timer comes on several times now. If you prime it, and sometimes bleed the air off, you can get it started and then it seems to work ok.

My pool maintenance guy is sending out someone to look at it. Said it might have air leak..

How easy are those things to find? How significant ($$) a problem if it is just an air leak? And can you hazard a guess w/o an on-site, if are there other reasons why it might have this problem>
